SAN MIGUEL DE COZUMEL
San Miguel de Cozumel is the heart of the island, as well as the largest city. This is where the majority of hotels and restaurants are located, and it’s a very walkable town. You’ll find San Miguel de Cozumel on the west coast of the island, about 7 miles (12 km) across the water from the mainland port of Playa del Carmen.
NORTH AND SOUTH HOTEL ZONES
There are a number of resorts and beachfront hotels scattered along the western shore of the island in the Northern and Southern Hotel Zones. While most of the all inclusive resorts are in the South, there are a number of great beachfront hotels in the northern hotel zone just a few minutes north of town. Hotels located in this neighborhood are close to the airport, as well making them a great option for short stays.
